Those patients who are interested in non-surgical procedures or are unfit for surgery to reduce the fat under the chin are the right candidates for Injection Lipolysis.

Patients with loose skin or who are not motivated to control their diet and exercise are not the right candidates for Injection Lipolysis.

This procedure is done after application of topical anaesthetic cream.

Complications, although rare, include nerve injury leading to an uneven smile or difficulty in swallowing.

There may be swelling, bruising and pain lasting from few days to maximum 2 weeks post the procedure. Fat reduction is typically seen by eight weeks.

Most patients are recommended two treatments, at 4-6 weeks interval. However, depending upon the amount of fat, sometimes up to six treatments to the area under the chin may be required. The results are permanent, unless you are not able maintain diet and exercise and gain weight.
